Yarn: Kauni 8/2 (100 g/400 m), 100 % wool.
Needles: 3.5 mm (I recommend several pairs of circular needles in order to be able to try the garment on as you go; you can use either DPNs or short circular needles for sleeves).
Gauge (slightly stretched in the width): 13 sts x 8 rows in the pattern (Chart 1a, size S, L) = 8 cm x 2.5 cm; 15 sts x 8 rows in the pattern (Chart 1b, size M, XL) = 9 cm x 2.5 cm.
Please note that this gauge is only achievable using the same or similar wool yarn as for the sample. Kauni is a yarn with loose twist and knits up differently than for example tightly spun merino yarns.
